Caught Senior Year around this time a year ago. And until now, I wonder if my last year was anything like that. Sure, we were Boys are Back dreamers and we, too, wanted all - but we didn't get it. None of us had a tree house and a red cape. We lost in our last big game. And our final production number... Well, the CD containing our grad song got forgotten, so we had to do it without any accompaniment. How's that for a musical?Also, our heads would be cut off the moment we were caught dancing on the school's rooftop or wearing a red toga on grad day.
HS life could pass off more as something from Owl City than any song from the franchise. But every now and then, we still get together and talk. Even if the prom stage, and practically every stage we had, were never as big and decked out as the ones in the movie -- friends were just as true.

As short as it is, these choruses are just too big
and these notes are too high,
I need some help to reach them.
And did I mention I cannot sing any kind of falsetto?

Supposedly, I had classes 'til nighttime. But miraculously, I was done by the morning. So, I spent the rest of the afternoon with a plan of tying balloons to my house with the help of some friends I have not been with for a long time.
The day ended with family, dinner, a cake I can't pronounce, and a cocktail glass.
And tomorrow plus the rest of the long weekend, my relatives are staying over to celebrate, because life is fun like that.
Then, the very second that's over, I have to hit the books since it's Finals Week afterwards. Because life is real like that.
You just have to make it happen.
